Bonifacio and the Lavezzi Islands
Practical Information
Bonifacio Sea Cruise
Bonifacio and the Lavezzi Islands by boat
A breathtaking circuit, the Lavezzi islands, Bonifacio, Piantarella, and many more. Set off to discover the most beautiful sites in Corsica: Bonifacio and the Lavezzi Islands. Located between Corsica and Sardinia, this incredible archipelago surrounded by turquoise water is made up of 23 islands, islets and granite reefs including the island of Lavezzo on which stands the lighthouse built in 1874 and two marine cemeteries.
If you're looking forward to an excursion on the West Coast, the captain will meet you in Ajaccio at 8:00 a.m., then in Porticcio at 8:15 a.m. The boat will then set sail for an hour and a half of freedom, hair in the wind, heading for the Archipelago. Upon arrival, you will be taken to discover the magnificent rocks offered by the surrounding islands. A stop will be offered to enjoy the turquoise waters of the Lavezzi islands, or on Piantarella, also known as the 'Piantarella Lagoon'. Fine sand and sun will be on the agenda.
To continue this sea cruise towards sun-filled Bonifacio, the boat will set course towards the cliffs of Bonifacio. You will then be able to observe the particularity of these steep and white cliffs from different viewpoints, from the King of Aragon's staircase, the open-air cave or even Napoleon's cave.
To continue with this beautiful discovery, the captain will stop around noon for a two and a half hour break in Bonifacio, a city full of dynamism and unique architecture, which makes it so special. Many restaurants will welcome you for lunch to discover local and seasonal products. You can also enjoy walks in the old town or simply sit facing the sea, with a delicious sandwich in hand.
To continue this splendid excursion, the boat will set sail towards the Gulf of Roccapina for a swimming stop. The sea, with its crystal clear water, offers a fine sandy beach at the bottom of the bay. The captain will extend the excursion to Tivella beach with a swimming stop. Then head to the Senetosa lighthouse, south of the Valinco gulf, and Tizzano so you have the opportunity to enjoy a glass or two on the terrace.
To conclude this outing, the boat will go to Cacao beach, commonly called Cacalu beach in the region. We will then return to find the bay of Ajaccio and Porticcio at sunset after a beautiful sea cruise towards Bonifacio.
